Air France Unveils New Business-Class Seats and Offers Free Ticket Giveaway

To commemorate its 90th anniversary, Air France is providing an opportunity for travelers to win two round-trip business-class tickets to Paris. When it comes to experiencing luxury in business class, Air France stands out with its exceptional offerings. Renowned for its French-inspired culinary delights, from the moment you step into their lounges, where you can indulge in petite macarons, croque madames, and classic French cocktails like the Kir Royal, to amenity kits featuring products from the French brand Clarins, and impeccable service, flying with Air France is like a taste of the French way of life. While already an outstanding experience, this summer, the airline introduced updated business-class cabins, initially on flights between Paris and New York City. And now, Air France is taking it a step further by offering travelers the chance to win a pair of free tickets to experience their business-class excellence firsthand.

What's New in Air France's Business-Class Cabin Air France's new business-class cabin features 48 pod-style seats, each of which can transform into a 6.5-foot-long fully lie-flat bed. Though somewhat similar to previous versions, the primary enhancement is the addition of sliding doors on the pods for increased privacy, the capability to connect Bluetooth headphones to the TV screen, and ottomans (as opposed to footwells) in the bulkhead seats.

These upgraded seats are currently available on flights between Charles de Gaulle in Paris (CDG) and John F. Kennedy in New York City (JFK), with plans to expand to additional routes in the coming year. CEO Anne Rigail has also indicated that they will be working on updates to their La Première (first class) offering in the near future.

Celebrating 90 Years with Cocktails and a Giveaway This year is a significant milestone for Air France, as it celebrates its 90th anniversary on October 7, 2023. To mark this special occasion, Air France has unveiled a window display exhibit at the Galeries Lafayette shopping center in Paris, showcasing memorabilia from the airline's rich history. The exhibit will be open until October 10.

For those who aren't in Paris, Air France is offering travelers the chance to win a pair of round-trip, business-class tickets to Paris. To participate, you'll need to purchase their limited-edition cocktail kit inspired by the French 75, which includes all the ingredients required to create the "French 90" cocktail:

  • A 750 ml bottle of Citadelle Gin de France
  • A 375 ml bottle of champagne
  • A 4-oz. bottle of strawberry lavender syrup
  • 4 lemons (yes, you read that right!)

Inside the kit, you'll find instructions on how to enter the contest. In addition to flights, the grand prize also includes a lunch and a private spirits tasting with a master distiller from the gin brand Citadelle on the Barge 166, a floating cellar on the River Seine.

Even if you don't win, the kit includes a voucher for $90 off a future Air France purchase, effectively covering most of the cost of the kit itself.
