JetBlue Continues European Expansion with New Routes to Dublin and Edinburgh
After successfully establishing routes to London, Paris, and Amsterdam, JetBlue's transatlantic service is on a rapid expansion path. The latest additions to the airline's European lineup are Dublin and Edinburgh, with seasonal service scheduled to begin in spring 2024.
Starting from March 13, 2024, JetBlue will launch daily flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Dublin Airport (DUB), as well as between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Dublin. Additionally, new flights between New York's JFK and Edinburgh Airport (EDI) will be available. The Dublin service will run until September 30, 2024, while the daily flights to Edinburgh from New York will operate from May 22, 2024, until September 30, 2024.
In keeping with its tradition, JetBlue is celebrating its entry into these new European markets with limited-time introductory fares. Round-trip seats for the Dublin flights can be booked for as low as $399 until October 26, 2023, for travel between March 13 and May 15, 2024. For JetBlue's Edinburgh round-trip rates, the promotional price is $599 when booked by October 26, 2023, for travel between August 4 and September 19, 2024. Travelers can also opt for JetBlue's Mint class (the airline's business class), starting at $1,999 round-trip for Dublin and $2,499 for Edinburgh during the same promotional period.
In just over two years, since its inaugural flights to London in August 2021, JetBlue has expanded its European network to five destinations, including Paris and Amsterdam, which were launched earlier this year.
Alongside the introduction of service to Ireland and Scotland, JetBlue has also confirmed a new year-round route between Boston and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), which will commence on April 3, 2024. The Boston-Paris flights are available for as low as $599 round-trip for one day only, until October 26, 2023. Furthermore, JetBlue is enhancing its offerings by introducing a second daily flight between JFK and Paris on June 20, 2024.
JetBlue's Paris flights are operated on Airbus A321LR aircraft, featuring 24 lie-flat Mint seats with Tuft & Needle cushioning, and meals curated by New York's Delicious Hospitality Group. In addition, there are 114 economy seats in a single-aisle layout. Flights to Dublin and Edinburgh will be serviced by single-aisle Airbus A321neo planes, providing 16 Mint seats and 144 economy seats. Among JetBlue's notable amenities are free and unlimited in-flight Wi-Fi and access to seatback entertainment, which includes live TV programming. JetBlue collaborates with the culinary team at DIG to design the meals offered in economy on its transatlantic flights.
