New Payment Method Introduced for Work Permit Fees in Saudi Arabia

New Payment Method Introduced for Work Permit Fees in Saudi Arabia

In a move aimed at simplifying the process for employers, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's Qiwa platform in Saudi Arabia has introduced a convenient payment option for work permit fees. Employers can now utilize Mada debit cards and credit cards to settle these fees, marking a significant shift from the previous exclusive reliance on the SADAD payment system.

This new development allows employers to streamline their financial transactions by using the Qiwa digital wallet to debit the necessary funds. The introduction of this service aligns well with the traditional fiscal calendar of many businesses in the region, which often commences at the start of the Hijri year.

One notable advantage of this payment method is that it extends beyond mere convenience. Some bank cards also offer additional benefits to their users, such as the accumulation of reward points or the opportunity to recover a portion of the money spent through the cards. This added value makes the adoption of Mada debit cards and credit cards a compelling option for employers looking to optimize their financial operations.

The expansion of payment methods for work permit fees is expected to enhance the overall efficiency of the employment process in Saudi Arabia. Employers can now choose a payment option that best suits their needs, while also reaping potential rewards from their financial transactions. This development reflects the government's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and promoting technological advancements in the country.
