Saudi Arabia Declares National Day Holiday for Public, Private, and Non-Profit Sector Employees
In a recent announcement, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has officially declared a public holiday to commemorate the 93rd Saudi National Day, which is set to occur on Saturday, September 23, 2023. This holiday will be observed throughout the Kingdom, allowing employees in the public, private, and non-profit sectors to participate in the celebrations, as communicated by the Ministry.
According to Mohammad Al Rezqi, the official spokesman for the ministry, this decision aligns with Article 24 of the Executive Regulations of the Saudi Labor Law. This article stipulates that employers must adhere to the regulations outlined in the second paragraph, thus ensuring that the holiday is granted to eligible employees in accordance with the law.
