Abuhimed Alsheikh Alhagbani Law Firm (AS&H), in partnership with Clifford Chance, played a pivotal role in providing legal counsel to Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) concerning the Six Flags Qiddiya project.
The contract, valued at AED 3.67 billion (SAR 3.75 billion), was formalized on December 12, 2021, awarding the contract to Bouygues Bâtiment International (BBI)—a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction—and Saudi Almabani General Contractors.
Qiddiya is poised to emerge as a premier hub for entertainment, sports, and the arts, offering an extensive array of experiences encompassing sports, wellness, nature, environment, parks, attractions, mobility, as well as arts and culture.
Spanning an impressive expanse of 320,000 m², the theme park will feature 28 rides and attractions, including 10 thrilling rides and 18 designed to cater to families and young children. A collaborative endeavor spanning borders, the legal guidance was spearheaded by AS&H and Clifford Chance, with Partners Majid Al-Sheikh and Daniel Royle, and Inaamul Laher, Head of Construction MENA, at the helm. Tim Steadman, part of the Clifford Chance Construction Group, offered further support, alongside Senior Associates Anna Cornelius, Sultan Al-Fayez, and Simon Smith, as well as Associates Damon Dae-Il Kim and Alhanouf Al-Sultan.
