Dubai's Rove Hotels has introduced a commendable sustainability campaign aligned with COP28, pledging to plant a tree for each hotel stay booked from November 30 to December 12. This significant initiative is being carried out in collaboration with W&A Consular and Eden Reforestation Projects.
Anticipating substantial demand from summit participants, these trees are set to be planted by year-end. Paul Bridger, Rove Hotels' COO, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "Our announcement of this initiative is a source of great pride. By committing to planting a minimum of 28,000 trees, we showcase our dedication to making a positive environmental impact and supporting the UAE's eco-friendly endeavors. Through this endeavor, we aspire to inspire others to join the global fight against climate change."
Situated exclusively at the COP28 venue, Rove Expo 2020 is uniquely positioned to drive increased demand for this initiative. Boasting 3,500 rooms across Dubai, the hotel is reaffirming its commitment to fostering a greener future in alignment with the UAE's sustainability goals.
William Fison, founder of W&A Consular World, emphasized the significance of this move, stating, "This represents a substantial leap forward for the Green At Source vision initiated at COP26. It marks the most substantial commitment thus far for this non-profit initiative, which aims to plant an impressive 1 million trees by the time COP28 arrives."
